In an Instagram live chat with Reality star (former BBA housemate) Uti Nwachukwu, Toke Makinwa opened up about how she was trolled for giving relationship advice after her divorce became final.
In her words;
”Take out the stigma of divorce and take out the shame that comes with this whole divorce thing.
People still troll me about the fact that “you talk about relationships, but you couldn’t keep your marriage” I’m like what do you people want from me? If I stay in that situation I would have been called names as well. So I don’t know which one people want to pass so many opinions that this happened in my marriage.
You were not in my marriage, but at that time that this happened, every news outlet had a version ,every radio station had a version, everything I read had a version how “She was so dumb”, “He didn’t love her” “She could have done this, she could have done that”.
And it’s so frustrating how people have remedy to what they think your life should be like ,but their lives are not even close to being perfect”.
