
At first sight, you might doubt the authenticity of the black skin on the Sudanese model Nyakim Gatwech. You might think she rubbed a substance on her body to make her that dark, but a closer look will clear all doubt.
She became an Instagram sensation of some sort when she regularly uploaded pictures of her dark toned skin which drew many followers to her page. Consequently, she just added another illustrious feather to her cap as she has been recognized by world record holders Guinness, as having the darkest toned skin in the world.
Prior to her recent Guinness records, she confessed that she has always had a sort of low self-esteem at some point in her life. She normally gets advice from friends to bleach her skin, but she stuck to what she believed in without knowing what lies ahead of her.
Nyakim Gatwech who was born on 27th January 1993 in Ethiopia to Sudanese parents. She is an American citizen too and currently resides in Minneapolis Minnesota.
Gatwech previously lived in a refugee camp in Kenya with her parents after fleeing from their country due to the civil war scuffle at the time, after which she relocated to the United States with her parents, at just 27 years of age.
